'DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE." We recently sent an Amish family to Glenwood Springs, Colorado by train for Elias' wish trip. Extended family went along (at their own expense), so it was quite the crowd. There's a song Bing Crosby recorded in 1954 called, "Dear Hearts and Gentle People". If you're ever looking for that kind of people, make your way to Glenwood Springs. We always seem to be put in the right place at the right time, finding the BEST PEOPLE. Here's just a sample of what this town did for this family: We found a wonderful man, Bryan Stolzfus (pic below), who took off work the whole week they were there to drive them everywhere, and wouldn't accept a penny for his time. Also, from the goodness of his heart, prior to their arrival, he arranged through all those dear hearts and gentle people the following at NO CHARGE to us: electric bikes for ALL from Blue Sky Adventures for every day they were there; day trips to Hot Springs,, Maroon Bells, Great Adventures Park and Caverns Amusement Park; a private dinner for ALL at the Elks plus a Visa card donation; meals at 19th Street Diner and Village Inn; a helicopter ride from a local hospital and so much more. We'd also like to thank the Silver Spruce Inn and Enterprise for their hospitality and discounts. THERE REALLY ARE SO MANY DEAR HEARTS AND GENTLE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD!
