Rathynia was a country girl through and through. She knew every word by heart to every country song. So when it came time for her wish, she asked us to send her to the Country Music Fan Fare in Nashville for a week!

She sang on the stage of the Ryman Theatre and she even sang in front of a huge audience with her teen idol, Billy Gillman. She went to late night parties with the likes of Wynonna and Jason Aldean. And she made lifelong friends that week in Nashville. One of them was a singer-songwriter named Melody Guy. Melody made several trips from Nashville to Rathynia’s home in Massillon to see her and do fundraisers for her. She even rushed to her home just prior to her passing to sing to her. So touched was Lawrence Mathis (Jason Aldean’s agent) by Rathynia, he insisted on buying her headstone."
